Did Obama BOW to the Saudi King, or bend down because the King is short?

Is it me?

WHAT DID IT MEAN WHEN OBAMA “BOWED” TO THE SAUDI KING?

Perhaps it takes a bigger brain than mine to get this:

Was this a show of subservience or reasonable Presidential manners?

I’m not much for the huge conspiracy theory, but I do think that if NO OTHER PRESIDENT EVER BOWED… well, it just seems strange that Obama would decide that’s a good idea given the subtle but important meanings in small gestures of diplomacy.

And when you look at the pic it doesn’t look like he NEEDED to bend down to shake the guys hand AT ALL. That simple!

I’ve seen some minimization of it, but I just didn’t get a good “feeling” about this.  Call it gut instinct.

Yeesh!

What do you think?
